I am caring, approachable, friendly and genuine, I will support you throughout your counselling journey and will laugh and even cry alongside you as we work together at your own pace.

Mutual trust and respect are the secret to the success of our working relationship. It is essential that you feel ‘at ease’ and ‘an equal’ during our sessions.

Remember that ‘YOU’ are the expert, this is your life, your thoughts, feelings, emotions, and behaviours are all equally VALUED and VALID. I will not advise you, nor will I give you the answers, but I will empower you to come up with your own solutions.

I began my counselling journey in September 2018, predominantly working with neurodiversity, exploring self-identity and understanding by raising self-awareness and confidence. Looking at coping mechanisms and distraction techniques to support empowerment, personal growth and well-being.

I love working with children and adults alike and encourage the use of distraction techniques and coping mechanisms during counselling. I adapt my approach accordingly and offer numerous fidget toys, colouring books, games, emotion and affirmation cards, stones, dolls, lego, and weighted blankets during face to face sessions.

Emotionally supporting the whole family network from pre to post diagnosis and beyond, from frustrations and challenges with services, to discrimination, communication and emotional regulation.
